Thumbs up Software - A new 3D Scan-to-Print App

Hi Foundation 3D,

I'm Ernest from Volumental, the world's first cloud-based 3D scanning service. With a depth camera and your browser, you will be able to record a short film that is converted into a 3D model within minutes.

We have recently launched a Kickstarter campaign for our upcoming Scan-to-Print web app that will allow you to have a closed and watertight 3D scanned model that is printable with your own printer or be sent to a 3D printing bureau.

Do check it out here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...-print-web-app

Ask away because we are curious to know what you guys think!

Thank you!

It sounds like an exciting service which will fit nicely into the whole excitement of 3D printing.

But I have played around with other applications that made 3D models from photographs and the results, well, left a lot to be desired. Here's hoping your application can beat that by a light-year or two.

Thanks for the feedback Rigel!

Indeed, we want to allow anyone to seamlessly 3D scan and print easily. Hence with a successful Kickstarter campaign, we will be able to hire a developer and upgrade our cloud infrastructure to provide better quality scans and of course, a better 3D scanning experience.

Do check out our website: www.volumental.com and try 3D scanning with Volumental if you own a 3D printer!

Let me know how it worked for you. Cheers!
