Thanks.

UPDATE...
I got a bunch of chamfers done and connected the warp pylons. But before that I made a mistake and tapered the back of the ship. Now the pylons are in the way of the aft torpedoe launchers, oh well. I also did a bit of work on the shuttlebay doors. Not sure if I like them.

Finished up the impulse engine.

UPDATE...
I was doing a little work on my TOS dock and I thought Iíd try to do a K7 space station. So I blocked in the shapes. There will be some heavy reworking but the basic idea is there.

Nice drydock. That looks like it could have been in TOS era.

UPDATE...
This is what Iím thinking for the dockís OPS center.

Not getting too much done on this ship. Iíve been busy fixing some issues with the saucer but most of that is done. So I thought Iíd start adding some windows to the lower spine. I also notice when I joined the saucer and spine together I forgot to make sure it was centered so itís a little bit off center.

Great start mate--I personally would like the see the blue brighter, almost white going into blue, considering how much power is coursing through there.

Good start.

In the first render, the intercooler box at the front looks like it's made of concrete.

The textures are getting close to finished. I might add a little more grime but Iím not sure. I still have to move into mental ray.

UPDATE...
Iíve started to test textures on the warp pylon. So far so good.

The windows are done and Iíve put rooms behind them. I may add a few portholes as well.

UPDATE...
The spine has all itís grid lines now. I just need to chamfer a few edges around the impulse engine and add rooms behind the saucer windows. You might also notice on the warp engine that mirror universe has a copy of this ship now.

Iíve also added a few new ideas for details on the drydock.

UPDATE...
Well I thought itís the end of the month so I might as well go do some work on the Sirius.
I started to work on ideas for textures in the shuttle bay. Iím pretty happy with the result so far. I still need to dirty it up a bit.

Just wanted to see how it looks from outside the windows.

And here is an interior shot. I added some yellow things to the wall and a door. Doors are always a good idea.

It looks nice.

One question though; those white containers in the back corner; what's stopping the two bottom ones from being pushed aside and dropping the top one on the floor?

UPDATE...
I added some more plant-ons to the wall and I also decided to add some observation rooms to the sides.

I was getting a bit tired of working on the Sirius so I went and started on textures cor the bridge and the command deck of the Ben Aventure. Iím pretty happy with it so far.

The shuttle bay is looking good.

The textures on the bridge structure are working well. Unfortunately, the spec hit really shows up the pinching between the windows.

One trick I use in Lightwave for that exact situation is to select the polygons around the window then inset them a little bit. Maybe 5mm sometimes. It confines the pinching to an area too small to see and leaves the larger polygon looking smooth.

I'll see what I can do about it. This mesh has a couple issues but nothing I can't live with at the moment.

UPDATE...
Got a little bit more done on the spine. I decided to re-texture the aft section but itís being a real pain in the ass and the heat around hear is driving me nuts so I decided to take a break.

I decided to add some construction arms to my drydock. Right now they are just blocked in ideas for what I want to do.

UPDATE...
Ok. Back to the bonny. I go the unwrapping problem taken care of I think. So I started on the re-texturing of the aft section.
I wasnít happy with the lower part of the back because it looked to blank to me. So I added a couple of things.

I also redid the top.

UPDATE...
The aft end is now done and so is the impulse engine.

Now all the little bits are done. I can focus on the saucer and the other warp engine. I have to fix some issues with the lower saucer and put rooms behind the windows.
