Question

I can't view them for some reason. After I download them I get a window that pops up with the quicktime logo with a question mark in the middle of it. Ive never had this happen before.

On the Newtek site, William Vaughan mentioned that he learned to set up the remainder of the tutorials for streaming. He might have encoded with a codec that is newer than the Quicktime version you have, so you may just need to update your version. If nothing else, I would go ahead and right click on them and select "save as", and pack them away until you upgrade. For myself, I saved every file onto a firewire external to keep it all archived and ready for use whether or not I'm online.

What an incredible collection of Lightwave knowledge.
There are a lot of unvaluable informations and tips on every aspect of this software.
Very useful.

I just want to make sure people know that William is constantly adding new tutorials. Go here: ftp://ftp.newtek.com/multimedia/movies/w3dw/

And thank you once again, Mr. Vaughan, for such a rich source of awesome LW knowledge. Thank you for sharing!! I bow down to the low-poly, non-subdiv, Saslite-grass-enhanced LW ground you walk on!

He has wrapped up this project at 24 hours, 4 minutes, and 58 seconds of video so there probably won't be anything new added from this point.

I can't believe he's churned out 24 hours of video, the man is a tutorial machine.

I've just finished downloading the videos and have only had time to watch about a quarter of them but already I have learned so many useful things.

I think it is fantastic of William (and Newtek of course) to provide this valuable training resource free of charge.

If you are downloading the videos, you can also download the interactive menu files, place them in the same folder, and it will work just the same.

If you want to download it, get these four files from the same FTP location:

WV_LightwaveTraining.html
WV_Lightwave_Training.swf
AC_RunActiveContent.js
wvvideos.xml

Thanks for reminding me CoryC, I suspect the version I have is quite out of date now, (I downloaded it when you first put it up).

Yea, there were some changes since the version you downloaded. You can also run it directly from the Newtek site if you are not downloading the videos. The direct URL is ftp://ftp.newtek.com/multimedia/movi...eTraining.html

Hi William,
I have seen some of your instruction videos while working on a machine that had LW installed on it, pretty good stuff for a novice like me.
Nice to see loads of them here, so thanks for sharing.
Keep bringing us that magic

Wow, these will really help me.

I have been using 3D software (mostly Lightwave) for about a year and its very daunting to learn especially with some of the tutorials that dont actually help. XD

Thanks dude!
