think it is the cpu, cant push it up to 3.2 anymore and the loss of the OC from 2.8 shouldnt make this much of a difference but I dunno if it is probability of a replacement is low since it is a 1366 socket i7 and well those never really dropped in price and now appear to be inflated by 30% or more. Slower procs cost much more than what I paid for mine. IE 910 920s
So probably end up on a i5 with a z77? mobo forget what the newest chipset is. Sucks too since 1050 is coming soon. PITA really.

Considering a rebuild to see if ti is not just a crapped up driver or other age related OS issue. But a bit busy atm to take the system wipe.

Update, currently merging up detached bits and fixing stuff from the resave in max 2013 12? and back to 2010 to eliminate some code errors. Nothing really visible except where I detached stuff on curves and flat areas. I did add a light noise map to some materials to get that feel and to break up the cgi look.

Adding more light to the obs lounge (area below the bridge) and changing out materials in there. Also adding little details to the saucer. Probably not all visible or definable in any form due to the rez. fffff Already 22 min render for this saucer nose bit.

Yes, somewhere on this thread you see all the furniture being made. Only thing I did not make was the plants, those are bits in max and will be replaced later on. All the sensor things are modeled in, again those can be found further back on this thread.

That is just too sweet Koi. I'm enjoying every update and I've learned a few things from your builds. Thanks for sharing what you know along the way.

Adding a mess of little textured hatches and those funny egg things you see on the VOY and SOV. Since they are textures they tend to blob away at any distance so probably a waste of time. Oh well. They are not very original either. heh.

I like the addition of the egg-like blobs look great for that shot. Plus considering all the close-in detail work on the ship I can definitely see tehm as worth the effort.

misc bits, filled in the hole on the nacelles, added more of those textured bits all over filled the aft rooms except the shuttle control room. (dunno what to do in there yet) Turned off the saucer impulse. Likely need to work on the internals for that. I also will likely turn off the blue glows in those caps I added to the nacelles. It just appears as too much glowy crap.
