Default Looking for someone to rig a figure for me (Paid Work)

I've had problems successfully rigging human figures with Genoma in LW 11.6.

I think I have the basics, but I find it really hard to adjust, and some parts are REALLY hard to pose, (elbows for example - I really can't get these even close to positioned!). I don't need the small bits done, (face, fingers, toes), but I want to be able to adjust the overall pose, this with particular regard to an astronaut / cosmonaut spacesuit. I'll bung a head in the spacesuit separately.

So I'm thinking it may well be a better use of my time to pay someone to rig it for me.

I want a few poses included in the rigged scene - I figure if the rig is good, this should be negligible extra effort.

These poses would be:
  • Unposed, neutral
  • Standing on a surface in a natural relaxed pose, (maybe like Aldrin on the Moon)
  • 2 different poses floating in space, as on a spacewalk.
  • 1 pose for on a ladder, 30 degrees from vertical.

If anyone is willing to take this on, message me with your price, which I'm hoping to pay by PayPal. Note that this setup must work in LW 11.6

I attach a picture of the figure I have in mind for rigging, with the polygon edges shown. (I subdivided it)

Original was bought here:

Posing figures is a cinch Nick ! Just add bones in Layout, simple skelly is all you'll need, prolly not even 30 for simple posing. Doubt you'll even need weightmaps:-

Yeah, they're just silly game models, but you get the point

I agree, I have tried for years on adding bones. I can never get it to work. I ended up buying a rigged model off turbosquid, the model you show is just like my rigged version. They cost more but it was worth it. Since I have that model, let me see if I can do it like you want and if you like the pose, I'll just give you the render for free since I already own the model.

I can send either of you a bone skeleton if you want? Load the model in layout, then using setup tab -->Import rig. All you need do then is switch off bones, move and scale the skelly to fit the model with the root bone. Then select all bones, hit R then switch bones back on. Voila.

Actually reading that back, no wonder some people struggle

If you have adobe cloud, you can use mixamo.com for free. They have a great auto rigger for characters you can upload and the ability to download rigged fbx files with either rigging or one of their large library of starter animations, no charge.

Hope this helps!

With hindsight it's probably what I should have told him.
