Cool Stargate - Stargate: Origins Wormhole Sequence

During pre-production of Stargate: Origins, the director showed the VFX Team my wormhole animation from 2015. I got asked to provide an updated version in 4K.

Done in LightWave 11.6.3 and After Effects CC

Here's the old version:

Cool stuff. I never was able to figure out how to do the receding and rolling star-streaks before the "tunnel" sequence, how much of it was a wide-angle lens and how much of it was a rolling animation.

It was comparatively straightforward to recreate the Atlantis version, where they just updated the tunnel part.

Hmmm, Youtube says that video isn't available. I like the older version, it's well done.
