Default Nature - Diving And Desert - Egypt

Rigel asked me to post some pictures of my diving and desert holiday in Egypt on here. Hopefully they'll be of interest to some of you.
I went to Sharm El Sheik which is in the Sinai region of Egypt. I would highly recommend it anyone... well apart from the haggling in the shops!

Default A few more...

We went into the desert, had a camel ride and watched the sun go down behind the mountains. Have to admit, I could imagine a Jawa Sandcrawler may drive into view any minute!

Default More fishes...

The diving at Sharm El Sheik is excellent. The water was warm and clear, even down at 25 metres. Unfortunately my photography doesn't really do it justice.

Once things calm down over there.. my wife and I plan on doing 2 weeks in Egypt. Even with 2 weeks we will still be hauling it to get to everything we want to see. Hell you could blow a day just in the museum in Cairo.

I'm really jealous.

Thanks Gordon. Bill, I'm sure you and your wife will have a fantastic time. There certainly is lots to see and do. My advice is, take it easy!

You won't find a more wretched hive of scum and. . .

Oops! Wrong desert!

Nice photo series. It's such a desolate area it's beautiful for that reason.

I love the first set of desert shots, they look like they could be the basis for a Storm Thorguson album cover set...

Have you considered taking the blue cast out of the underwater ones?

Wow, praise indeed... I love Storm Thorgusen's work. It's just a shame there's no more Pink Floyd albums for Hinton work his magic on!
No I hadn't considered taking the blue out of those underwater shots, though now I look at them they probably need it.
It's not gonna get done anytime soon though. Unfortunately I am so busy I don't even have time to work on the lightwave Wrigleyville Alley that I've posted on the WIP threads. It's very frustrating...
