Default Misc - This isn't the store you're looking for.

I shot the pictures just before Christmas just outside of Hamley's in Glasgow. The Imperial stormtrooper costume is still the best costume design I've ever seen.

There is something timeless about the costumes and models in Star Wars. I don't know if it is just because I am an old fart and I like the old stuff, or if the costumes and models are really that good and unique.

The fans have become very talented at making their own Stormtrooper costumes as well.

As great and recognizable the stormtrooper costume is, I kinda prefer the Imperial starfighter pilot. I think it's the helmet.

It was a promotion for Hamley's toy store in Glasgow. "Toys come alive." The 501st supplied the Stormtroopers and Boba Fett but I've no idea about the Cylon...or the wookiee.

I think it's because they still look futuristic.
