Default Aircraft - Spitfire TR9 MJ627

On July 4th last year (2019) I had the great pleasure of flying in and taking control of Spitfire TR9 MJ627 from Biggin Hill to the white cliffs at Beachy Head in East Sussex and back! Wow! What a buzz! That was number 1 on my bucket list. This is me in the rear cockpit:

So as my next project, I'm doing MJ627 in as much detail as I can. Could take some time!
Here's the start. At the front, of course!

That previous fuselage shape was not right, especially at the tail end. I tried to modify an old Mk XIV that I did a few years ago but the double cockpit mod messed it up and the tail shape was wrong, so I've gone back to first principles and redone the spline cage for a Mk IXe late variant. A bit of a step back.

I just learned something looking at your splines. I find I often over think things and make then far more difficult. As in trying to do the entire shape in the initial spline.

Finally got the shape right and the forward cockpit is close to being finished.
