Rigel, these are a great introduction.

I've posted a question about the hydraulic lesson, can you take a look?

Thanks Rigel, you certainly did. Learning 3D you get a little introduction to these fundementals, but put together like this is a great animation foundation. Thanks again. On with tuts!

Really just the pdf files. The animations are just there as examples of what the tutorial lesson should look like. Of course, if yours ends up looking better than the example, even better!

Have been thinking of animation, but really didn't know where to start. This thread is a great introduction, many thanks for your time and effort.

Thanks for these!

I was wondering if you could help me with a problem I'm having...
I was thinking about building a camera dolly with four wheel steering as they are super expensive. I roughed up a design for the steering system in modeler and I'm having a really hard time figuring out how to rig it. Ideally it could be rigged so that all the components interact properly with one another, that is to say that you would be able to effect all of the components by simply modifying one. I think this would make for a great tutorial on mechanical rigging and you seem like the one to ask! If you have time take a look at this model, I imagine it's probably a lot easier than I think when you know IK, which I do not...

Thank you!
