Default LightWave - Unusual lightwave vpr

Something I noticed. When I ramp up my over clock on my cpu x5820 to a moderate 4ghz on x99, my vpr gets worse. The mouse begins to stutter while the vpr is rendering. If I reduce it back to normal 3.2ghz stock speed it's fine again. 4ghz gives me a bit more speed on rendering out but worse on vpr, where 3.2ghz handles vpr better with slightly less rendering speed. Would have thought overclocking would have improved vpr too.

That is weird. Maybe in VPR it doesn't lock up your cores / HT so much, so you push them a bit harder with whatever else your PC is doing, but when rendering it locks all the cores to that process, so doesn't get near a heat / throttling thing. Although, I'm not convinced of what I'm writing. That's just plain weird.

Yes lol....has me puzzled to. Anyway I'm sticking at the stock speed for now so VPR doesn't effect the mouse as I move it over the vpr screen. Maybe it's to do with it being a wireless mouse? Dunno. I'm also using dual monitors so sometimes I have vpr open on the left and node editor on the right...maybe that effects it too when over clocking.
