NASA have released a whole bunch of spacecraft models in blender format:

http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/3d_resources/models.html

These include Voyager, Cassini, Dawn, MRO, Kepler, Acrimsat, Aqua, Deep Impact, and others. Judging by the illustrations and the file sizes these are quite detailed.

PS - Conversions to other formats would be appreciated round here I suspect, not least by me!

just took a quick look, and it would appear that some of them are in other formats (LightWave, Max, etc).

There are some in Lightwave and other formats - most are not very good, (though this was the basis for the ISS I released).

The blender ones are relatively new, and look to be better quality!

But worth pointing out that's not the only format stuff there, cheers!
