Default What did you just watch?

Figure we have a what are listening to thread so this makes sense.

I just got done watching The Hobbit 1 & 2 back to back. So I am all geared up for three. Of course then I'll have to watch LOTR back to back.

Brilliant film. I don't think it's had a theatrical release in the UK yet which is criminal, and for the US release the Weinstein's basically sank it after the director refused the Weinstein's cut of it which removed about 20 minutes of character stuff.

Extended version of Hobbit 2. The extensions seemed to fit in better than they did in the LOTR films.

Ernest and Celestine, which was adorable and put me in a drawing mood for the first time in a long time.

And just now, I watched some show on Discovery where a hot rod garage completely rebuilt GM Futureliner #3, including its display piece.

The 100, season 2 episode 3 on Netflix. It's an interesting show if somewhat overburdened with moments where I wonder "how can you be so stupid?".

I may have to go back and try it.. I only watched the first 3 episodes of Season 1 and was not too impressed and ASSUMED it would get canceled like all the oter Sc-Fi shows out there...

Going to watch "Into Infinity" (US title "The day after tomorrow") Gerry Anderson produced and hasn't been broadcast for nearly thirty five years. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04l61j5

I'm waiting to see some reviews of Interstellar by people here before I go see it, so I look forward to hearing your thoughts of the movie.

I bought that but haven't watched it yet. As for TV series I just watched the new series </Scorpion>, I'm really enjoying it and Star Wars Rebels.

I'll say this then. It is a film which absolutely 100% should be seen in the cinema, if you wait to see it at home you'll lose a lot of the impact.

I think the things that are good about it are SO good, that it makes the things which don't work stand out more obviously. Scale, scope, ambition, immersion, the performances and the visuals - all the stuff which cinema does better than watching at home - are all impeccable. It's worth seeing as a strictly visual experience alone. I just had some problems with elements of the narrative.

Saw it yesterday. Lots of fun! The adults in the audience were laughing louder than the kids.
