Tokyo Ghoul: Awesome visuals and storyline. Really gets into the character development too.

If you like the MMO genre then both Sword Art Online and Log Horizon are great series. Both have two seasons and about 50 episodes each.

Others I have enjoyed in the past:

Persona 4: The Animation
Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle
(3 seasons of puzzle solving with your life on the line)

That's about all I can think of right now, but that should give you plenty to watch
Thanks, I found a few of those on Crunchyroll, and added them to my queue!

I just watched Exodus Gods and Kings, that was a great movie. Christian Bale was great as Moses and the young boy playing the angel Malak was an incredible actor. I'm sure we will see that boy again soon.

Finally got around to watching Battle of the Five Armies Hobbit thing last night. I must be alone, I quite liked it

The bit with the horse cart hitting the troll was silly, and yeah some of the CGI monsters looked 'CGI', but I didn't think it was nearly as bad as people have made out.

I am a sucker for elves giving it some though...Agent Smith Vs Ringwraiths bit was cool.

Saw Jurassic World last week and thought I'd add my 2 cents on it.

Two things struck me about this movie:

1) there were no surprises;
2) all the long shots were blurry!

The movie spent a great deal of time trying to build suspense up to the big reveal of the new dinosaur. *yawn* We'd already seen the damn thing in trailers and pre-released clips so why bother with a "big reveal"?

The guy sitting down, terrified, gets bit almost in half by big dino; saw that one before in JP.

Two kids screaming while the vehicle they're in gets crushed by big dino; saw that before, in JP.

And on and on it goes. No surprises whatsoever.

Just watched Seventh Son. Jeff Bridges sounds like he has a mouth full of mashed potato through the whole film, it's bizarre.

Lots of lovely Canadian vistas though.

I didn't realize it was shot in Canada.

I agree about the mashed potatoes.

Your not alone, I loved that movie.

I just got Seventh Son but haven't watched it yet. I also got Jupter Rising, Kingsman and Bravetown. Bravetown stars a friend of mine, his name is Jae Head. I went to school with his parents. He also played Sandra Bulloks son in The Blind Side.

Was struggling to find something to watch on Netflix - wanted to watch The Godfather, but couldn't find it... spotted Serpico, and believe it or not, I've never seen it!

Best move I've seen on Netflix in a long time.

Can't speak to that. He is doing an 'accent' as well, which isn't helping. I have no idea what accent its meant to be though, but then the accents in the film are all over the place anyway. Everyone else seems to be trying to do American - even the English actors - which is jarring in a medieval fantasy film.

I watched Jupiter Ascending a few days ago. Beautiful, kind of dumb. Not a bad way to waste a night.

Space Battleship Yamato 2199: Odyssey of the Celestial Ark

A nice tie into the remakes plot also tying in some of the introduced story that was not in the original show. Dunno when or IF it will make US or western release but the jp brd has eng subs for those that need em. I do definitely recommend watching the series first. Guys at the top of the poster were a bit of a given, but heh well watch the film and see. Just hope the film is not the last we will see of this team and reboot. Have to say this series as a whole has to be one of THE best reboots ever.

I hope it does make US version, I'd like to see it but because of my poor eyesight, I have a hard time reading subtitles.

Just watched Ant Man. It's kind of amazing that even with a film with a production as troubled as this, Marvel seem incapable of making a bad movie. It was so much more fun than I was expecting.

My Nephews took me out for my Birthday yesterday to
see the new TERMINATOR..

HONESTLY , I don't see all the hate

Granted, I don't think it was a "good" as the first
two but I thought it was ALLOT of fun !

I know the stuff with the Choppers was REALLY bad
and cartoony to be sure. The rest I loved.

And whoever did the FX for the YOUNG Arnie just nailed it!

My god-daughter and her baby boy came to spend the month with us. On Saturday and Sunday I introduced her to my movie collection and some favorites of my wife and myself:

Waking Ned Devine
The Tuxedo
Ladyhawke

Saving Grace
Children of Men

We have a long list of films she's interested in but has never seen:

Alien
Ghost in the Shell
Memoirs of a Geisha
Wizards
Dragonslayer
Odd Thomas
Nausicca and the Valley of the Wind
Akira

Yea, it wasn't a great movie, and it probably won't be anyone's favorite, but it was definitely a fun movie. That being said, I kinda think that Michael Peña's character kinda stole all the scenes he was in.

Watched 'The Legend of Barney Thomson' on Sunday evening, Robert Carlyle's first movie as Director. Emma Thompson as his psycotic, foul-mouthed mother was hysterical!

Been watching Channel 4's 'Humans' as well, and looking forward to the final episode this weekend.

Pixar's Inside Out. I went in, clueless to what the film was about and I'm still thinking about it 12 hours later. Well worth seeing.

I have to wonder how many times the writers watched Blade Runner though...

Appleseed Alpha.

Really not sure about it, there was a strong feeling that I was watching a game rather than a proper film. Motion capture made it feel like the actors were hamming it up, overstating stuff. Sometimes it could have really used better motion blur.

But some impressive scenes, particularly the city block sized mech at the end.
