Default American Gods

I'm filing this under fantasy rather than SF, but in my view this is just spectacular.

Finally Neil Gaiman done right, not least I suspect by having him as an executive director.

Loaded with visual clues and references to reward careful viewing, and help you work out who the characters really are. Wonderfully acted. Most impressive looking thing on TV at thje moment that I have seen.

Also seriously violent, foul mouthed and sexual.

Czernobog / Slavic Thor manages to be utterly terrifying and blackly funny at the same time, perhaps the strongest character so far.

Can't recommend this strongly enough.

I've been watching it, it is good. I'm loving Gillian Anderson in it.

Yeah, she's pretty awesome... Especially as Ziggy Stardust-era Bowie and Marilyn Monroe!

It certainly looks like they threw a ton of money at the visual effects, as it's visually stunning.

It just keeps getting better and better.

Mad Sweeney the violently aggressive leprechaun is now a wonderfully sympathetic character!

Excellent series ( and a fantastic book if you are after a good read). So many little details and nuggets that it is hard to catch them all.

Loving the interplay between Mad Sweeney and "Dead Wife".

Did you notice that the many of the lines Gillian Anderson said in her David Bowie talk with the tech boy were lines from Bowie songs.
