I am sure that would drive the conversion guys up the wall too. |

![]() yup, I haven't decided exactly the mission type but it is definitely something flung at Federation foes.
update; New shuttle bay guts, with a time traveler. That poor Balmung gets flung all over the place. |

![]() Here are a few more views with some more adjustments. I have a mess of braces and stuff to put back. I just wanted to simplify the overall shape but keep the idea behind the original form, but remove clunky details and shapes. Note the lumpy neck brace thing will be going and replaced with something nicer, and maybe some detail on the neck area. Again though simplicity will overrule in the end though.
The intercooler deals on the nacelles I' m gonna replace or remove. The nacelles are more inspired by the SOTL ship NCC - 1000 USS Carolina? The profile of those nacelle bodies is what I was after. The endcaps though are pure Kelvin with those funny spheres I stuffed on the back of the re-connie. I know the decision to junk the old nacelles was a cause of concern for some. I just felt they were to I dunno busy, old looking and poorly modeled. Hopefully this all ties together. I even toyed with the idea of redoing the saucer to thin it some and round it a bit more to pull away from the TMP looking Stargazer thing it has now. (It is thicker than a TOS saucer) Once I finalize the new parts the only thing left is the waveguide at the bottom of the secondary possibly a new saucer sensor, then decals. And maybe some pseudo kitbashing. Oh, and yes, I have yet to decide on the look of the bridge area. |

![]() 2 days of not much posting and all I have to offer is some stinking braces and panels. those black bits are just un-extruded panels. I have yet to decide on those vents near the bussards. they get in the way of the inner bump things and well arnt spaced evenly due to the center cloning and my last min mirroring of them to well span across the nacelle more instead of the 3 modeled vents spaced towards the upper part of the nacelle derp.
Gonna be great fun cutting decals across those panels too AUGH! I might undo those lower panels, Idea is these are used to help form the field, and add additional protection IE deflector plating. Hence why it isnt all over. Just in choice locations like the re-connie, but I had originally thought that maybe more on a older design, but its a bit overpowering. hrmmmmmm |

OOPs sorry that's 7ft 7.86 inches in height, or 2.3333244x0.9144 meters and yes that one corridor does dead end cause I haven't modeled anything in the cargo space and doubt I will, since it wouldn't be visible from outside. |

Small update and that's it for me tonight, I think I'll be taking the weekend off from 3d to work on some painting either digital or IRL. oh duh lol suppose I could run a render that shows the changes too OTL mostly this is to show how all the crap appears as a complete object. |

![]() Again I'll reiterate EVERYTHING is measured out. Eyeballing just doesn't work. Those PIXELS are totally different measurements across perspective, so those little white boxes are not the same height. Looking down a foreshortened deck and assuming a distance doesn't work either. This is why pixel counting is fail, you have to account for perspective, that saucer rim is over 25ft thick and 372ft in dia.
For the last time I measure everything out, the shuttle is mine so it IS to scale period end of story. |

![]() Colour and materials isn't what I'm not happy with on that part. Though the NX is something I didn't think to look at.
Here are similar extrusions, well cloned resized and reattached then bridged to avoid that angled curve extrusion pukage. |

![]() Ok, giving the bridge area a bit of a rest to work on the new cargo/shuttle bay observation deck. Not sold on the outer windows so I might redo all that. I have to lol at the marker light size, just cloned one off the saucer front. Might have to resize it so it doesn't look so goofy.
