Well I had promised myself that I wouldn’t start anything new. So much for that. Just had a flash of an idea for what a Romulan ship might look like during the beginning of the Romulan Wars so I blocked it in real fast. Since I might have a new gig I can’t talk about at the moment I don’t know how much work I’ll be able to get done on this. Or any of my other projects.

UPDATE...
Did a little work on the engines. The pics are bigger than I normally do because I rendered them on my new machine while I was rendering pics of my spacestation on the old one.

Yes it should be labled Star Trek. For ideas on that looked at the trek Enterprise novels over the war period.

UPDATE...
Things are starting to come together here. I’m really starting to dive into what Max 2014 can do and I’m enjoying it. I’m getting more done on the warp engines and getting the shape of the wings about were I want them. I’ve also added impulse engines and I think the shuttle bay will be stick in there underneith. I’ve also merged the two halves of the main hull together.

I’ve added more detail to the wings and a fin. Not sure about the fin I like it but I don’t know if it works.

I do like your presentation images. IMO, they really show off the lines and shapes quite well.

UPDATE...
Here’s something I haven’t worked on in awhile. I added more detail to the wings and reaction control thrusters to the warp engines. Well, being Romulan they might be called over reaction control thrusters.

UPDATE...
I added some kind of venty thing to the back of the pylon. And lens flares.

A bunch of new details to the warp engine. Don’t know how much more I’ll add.

Looking good you want though to set those flares at the same angles. I am assuming your using some sort of plug in PS like red giant.

It was just done for fun to see how it looks. I used optical flares in after effects.

I’ve bee unable to get online for a few days. My internet has gotten pissy for some reason.
So anyway I decided to pull out a ship I had started to work on several years ago.

UPDATE...
I decided that the RCS was looking craptacular so I added a few more bits and now I’m happy with it.

This is what the thrusters on the saucer look like. Unfortunatly I lost this save and will have to do the work all over again. Oh well.

UPDATE...
I finally decided to finish up this sensor pallet. I had the bones of it for awile but most of my reference for this wasn’t all that great so I bit the bullet and just made something that looks good. This one is on the spine of the ship.

I finished the RCS assembly. It has a few things to fix but I’ll get to that later.

I also thought I’d do a bit of work on the lower saucer. I added the trench and torp launchers. The nav deflector will be redesigned. to better fit it’s new housing.

This is what I’m thinking for the main forward disrupter. I think it might be a little to big right now.

I beveled edges on the top thingy and finished off the details on the fin.

For a forward disruptor, I would agree about the size. It looks more akin to a torpedo tube at the moment.

I don't know if it's what you intended but I like the way this ship appears to be a precursor to the D'deridex Class Warbird. The shape of the wings and the position of the nacelles suggest a definite design lineage.
