UPDATE...
Decided to take a minor break from the U.S.S. Claymore and build my bar.
Finished for now. There are some shelves on the inside of the bar but I only use the thing now to place my lego stardestroyer.

This looks really promising. I can say everything will be detailed, realistic and correct when I look at the way you modeled that bar.

Nice work...

Grrr, curse you XFozzboute!

I read that statement and wondered, "what David Bowie song?". Then it hit me. Now I've got it stuck in MY head.

Yes, the plates did turn out nicely. Did you photograph or scan the actual plates?

You can probably get a better texture that way than with a scanner. It's just harder to get the photo straight on.

Can you give us a close up on the plates?

UPDATE...
Getting close to the finish on this. Iíve added some art that a buddy of mine gave me from a business trip to China. I also added my framed concert/sports ticket collection.

Hereís a close up of the plate. The art from China and my concert/sports ticket collection.

This is mostly done. I just need to make a few drawers and two doors. Than I have to do the hard part. Textures.

I can't do that I use the cabinet and I'd probably never get the damn thing back together again. Plus the camera I have is an old Olympus Camedia 3.2 megapixel piece of crap that only takes clear pictures when the flash is used.

It's a nice break from all the sci-fi stuff. And it's helped me learn a few things about textures and lights.

UPDATE...
The top of this thing is done. And as usual for me Iím starting to slow down and lose interest the closer I get to being done. Happens all the time. Iíve used inkscape a lot on this for the textures.

Thanks.

UPDATE...
Just about done.

Hereís the final look. Might work more on the texture because itís a little too orange looking for me.

And there it is in itís final resting place. I had a hell of a time trying to get this to render. For some reason the lights woulds just not work. So I merged it into a new scene and now it works. I still need to adjust the lights because in my basement I have a new lighting set up since I had to have my cuircut breaker replaced. Since they were out here doing that that fixed my old ceiling lights for nothing. They havenít worked in about 30 years.

The plaque is pretty much done so I started on the display for my Orc sword from Lord Of The Rings.
