A new little model:
You can see this satellite in the episode "Matters of Honor". The one where Marcus shows up the first time.

There's a really cool concept hanging around for a Brakiri Spacedock. I'm surprised you haven't already tackled it Amras, and urge you to do so

Neeeext ship! ^^
I used the texture of Nadabs model for this picture.
The ingame Version will have a new one.

I know, there should be a few dark spots on the "wings". I will add those later.

The hex pattern wiorks well mostly, but I don't like the areas where it stretches.

Some dodgy hexagon stretching in those textures there Amras

And I also love seeing your updates. You really must be the most prolific B5 modeller out there.

It is a hex pattern that was distorted with filters in Photoshop, because the ship seems to have a more organic pattern like a snake.(not such a perfect like the excalibur) Problem is, that it looks like the uvmap is stretches at those areas, but it isn't. It's in the texture.^^

*edit: I added a part of the texture to show you the area.^^

The original textures in the show used the Stained glass filter in Photoshop at the time...

They were layered with color textures and bump/diffuse textures.

I have a tut somewhere I made years ago for the process in LW 5.6c

I had a look at your texture test too before I started with it.
I used that filter too. Or the wave filter. But I should try another setting for the filter. It isn't perfect yet.^^

ok, found it...

Now this is more about LW layering than it is about Photoshop.

Yeah, the Stained Glass filter is random from iteration to iteration, so get a good snapshot of the generic cell structure you are going to use before you do anything else.

I imagine it will be a pita with UV's

It may not be canon, but it is a really good fit to the required style, and very recognisable. Thumbs up here...
