UPDATE...
Finished up the warp pylon. I added the bump map to make the green stripe pop out a little more and added more grime.

Getting bit of work done in the container. Not much more to do other than adding textures.

Well, it´s a thing that we never saw before (well, at least I don´t saw)... A modelled interior for the container! Rob, I'm anxiously waiting to see how you´ll develop it. Especially with those gigantic doors placed in the container´s belly.

UPDATE...
Getting some textures done on the container doors.

A bit more done and a little more to go. I might tone down that yellow a little bit.

And what the inside of the doors look like.

Actually, swing out doors are a) mechanically inefficient and b) space consuming. If that container were in a dock being loaded, the dock would have to be excessively large.

I suggest modelling pockets into the hull and the doors simply slide up. Even better, the door is a half cylinder inside the cylinder and rotates to one side i.e. a one piece door.

The yellow and black stripping is to loud, they need to be smaller... up close you can see em, far away they should not be so pronounced.

my 2 penny's, ca ching bloop.....

I agree with you. Given the size of the ship, those stripes would probably be more than 5 meters wide.

Good point, I had not thought about. But I'm gonna leave it the way it is. Plus in the last pic the doors were opened wider than needed.

I wanted them to be seen. That could change the closer I get to being done with this.

UPDATE...
I modified the door textures a little bit. I started out by making them slightly thinner and then I desaturated the yellow some. As far as I care it done. I could make the stripes even thinner but I feel like I need to.

And now I’ve started on the textures for the main part of the container.

UPDATE...
I’ve done a few more textures on the main container. Just need to do the two ends and the inside and finish up the engines.

And I was doing some texture work I came up with this. It’s not Star trek but I thought I’d pop it here anyway.

One thing I see about the container; they could be linked together to form a train but I don't recall seeing any kind of mechanism for that in any of the drawings. It's probably done with the "magnatomic adhesion" like the hand phaser being held to the belt.

Assuming they are magnetically connected together, I'm thinking there would be a circle or square painted on each end, maybe with a warning sign about powerful magnetic fields or some such.

I added things to the front and back to indicate some kind of connection. I've thinking about adding some thing a circle to make it clear.

Yay! A finished project!

That's puts you one up on me.

It turned out very nice and I like the old b&w image too. It looks like it was scanned from an old magazine or something.
