Default Misc - Greebles & Nurnies & Props - Oh My!!

Here's the idea of this thread - (I've run this by The Chief [ bmckain] and he concurs with these 'requirements'.}

1) post only WIP's of greebles, nurnies or props
2) all finished meshes have to be uploaded to resources complete with textures (if any).
3) two versions of the mesh have to be included - native and obj. This is so that everyone can DL and use them.
4) No duplicates but vaiations are permitted. If in doubt post a pic and let the group decide.

I encourage everyone - from neophyte to crusty veteran - to give it a go. This is a good way for beginners to 'get wet' so go for it.

To get things started - here's my first contribution. The included flanged pipes match the various bends and joint angles After I add some pipe sweeps to the set, I'll post it in Resources.--

I purposely did a pipe set to encourage beginners to jump in. Hopefully we'll see a lot of neat stuff come along. I'm going to do another set with different fastener/flanges.

I didn't want to disappoint my fans after being away for a bit. So I went off my meds.

I have both also. Came from a thread over on CGTalk about a year ago.

EarthWorm Jim's version has been updated regularly (more or less).

You can find it here .

The other one from Zuzzabuzz is a working script although it never was completed by the author.

Here is the link:

This is a great idea! When we upload the models, what category should we list them under? Is there a special 'greeble' category? Should we list the title as anything specific so it's easy for people to search for later?

Excellent idea Elowan...

As per popular questions... I've created a new category in the Resource section under the main 'Meshes' listing -- since this can be anything and work with anything, sci-fi, aircraft, whatever, it seems like the logical place to me. Any queries on that part, let me know

OK but in future please add a msg here with a picture/pictures of your creation before uploading it to Resources. Makes a sort of catalog of what's available in this category.

Arrow exhaust ports

Well, I made these exhaust ports when I was bored one day. They are all cc subd so you can make them pretty much any resolution you need. If you want to use standard subpatches you'll need to finish off some of the n-gons at the ends. They were actually originally made in Silo, but I am including a LWO 9.3 file and an OBJ file. If any of the admins are reading this, we should add Silo as a file type to the list of applications - it's a great subd modeler. Enjoy!

There is no image Elowan, because it is a LScript that creates greebles in Lightwave...

See links below in my other post.

I talked to a friend of the family who is a Psychiatrist, about the pipes fascination.

Then I remembered why I never talk to Freudians :P
