Default Star Trek - Booby Trap

One of my favorite episodes of the TNG (it's a long list I assure you) is Booby Trap (s3-ep6). The whole concept of deep space archaeology has always fascinated me and I always wished they would have spent more time exploring this, than a silly Geordi creeps on a hologram plot.

Anyway, I was working on a separate asteroid render for one of my websites and just had to render ProLogic's D in the asteroid field. The main asteroid is a Sub-D object with nodal displacement, when rendered it's around 20,000,000 or so polygons. The field is 4000 instances of that first asteroid.

Really nice work on this, the main asteroid is very believable, and the lighting is very well done.....!

this looks really good. You just need to add the lights to the impulse and warp engines.

The thing about the episode is that all power was being drained by the asteroid field so warp and impulse was offline. See here for reference (https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki...Trap_(episode) )

Beautiful asteroid; it turned out very well indeed.
