nah it shouldn't just 2 slots with junk in, and most of that is mix shaders and noise. The noise can be left out and it simplifies it even more.

What little time I had was spent prepping things and figuring out how I will approach the ideas I had originally for this outer hull area. Hopefully I can get it to work. The tan rim is the most obtrusive area atm and something I have winged whinge? (s/p) on for a while. Should it stay should it go etc. ATM I plan to cut right across this surface so the outer saucer will be huge pie sections that pull away from the hull when work is needed to be done. Will it work? I dunno.

Not really what I had in mind but I think this works. Going to redo it all so it is a bit tighter than this, it just looks to awkward to have the variation in width.

I actually like the varying widths. As long as you kept it symmetrical down the center line, I think it works.

But then I know a little less than nothing about the way its supposed to be.

I have a vintage late 1960's waffle iron. I make great waffles. If you ever plan to get up to Ontario, let me know; I'll treat you.

I have one of the thin jobbies It might date back to the 50s or 60s cause I do not think my mum bought it but uh made off with it from my grandmother. Asbestos cord and all. I also got one of those thick ones that were the hot thing to do in the mid 80s Both make messes, least if you want whole waffles. vs that half done aborted injection molded toy look. :crazy
I'll give you a call if I ever travel that way.

@Madkofish -> agree 100% on the waffles. upate looks sharp and I agree with Bill that I really love the look like it is (regardless of the timeline's expectations if there are any). Windows look nice as does that aztec patterning you shared too.

Started in on the upper plating. Likely undo the final layer to correct the area around the cutout. Kinda slow going cause I really do not want to work on it.

The hull and her plating looks sweeet! More, that sillouette still comes across as fantatic! The shape of this little beastie is by far one of my favorites from the ST universe - she looks, tactically minded and effective.

Awesome job on this one! You always seem to have a knack for blending new ideas with while still keeping that Star Trek universe feel to the ships you re-work/re-imagine. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Man, never gets old seeing your take on trek ships. I know it's off topic, but what would your take on the Vengeance be? That ship needs some love.
