I was hoping for more, but I'm hoping that by the end of 2019 the game will see atmosphere landings, gas giant stations / play in between cloud layers, and more science to be put into the codex.

I'm a light player as is, and I haven't really done a lot of things yet, so it might be nice to see the game develop as I need newer things to do.

In fairness, all of the extras announced is still considerable... Really looking forward to the Squadrons update featuring a communal carrier to launch missions from, refuel, etc.

I wonder what such a carrier might cost....

Did you enjoy the expo? I was worried it might be a bit awkward for me as I'd fallen out with some of my gaming clan and I knew they'd be there (two of them are in your photo) but it was fine in the end. I had a great time.

The event was fantastic, although was a bit annoyed at the price of the food there... Honestly, 6.50 for an egg mayo sandwich and a can of Coke!!! Haven't had the chance to redeem the code for Elite: Dangerous that we were given on that little card... I'm assuming its an exclusive Frontier Expo paint job.

I didn't like those Thrustmaster HOTAS controllers they had, as I was struggling with maneuvering the ship. I think I'll stick to my Saitek X55 for the time being.

UPDATE: Just redeemed my code... a David Braben Bobblehead!!!

Wasn't that already nerfed?
I have to confess that I tried it. But the missions weren't as good as they should be. Also, I tend to mess them up. The last time I got a great one. A 2 mil mission with one jump to the next system... I just didn't realized that I was carrying a criminal. Guess whose Beluga got shot to pieces right after he left the station... *sigh* So much for those 2mil.

Not yet, in fact I'm running passenger missions now between Rhea and LQ Hydrae. Started with an Imperial Clipper, then an Orca, and finally an Anaconda. Have over 100 economy cabins installed and making a very tidy profit. Hope to make enough money by the end of the week to fully outfit the ship.

As I understand it the nerf was reducing the multiplier for longer distance stations at the target, so this new system has a target over a million ls from the star, so the multiplier still works, and this is post-nerf. As ever, you've got to be allied with the factions so run data delivery and donation missions before you start, and you'll get more if you're Elite already, but in one run (20 mins board hopping and a 40 min supercruise) this was giving 200 million for allied and elite trader. And yes, don't carry single passengers (you'll get scanned / attacked), only groups.

That's not bad. If it works (not tried it yet) I need to get some time in and grind out a billion or so. I'm still hungry for credits at the moment, not started on the need to engineer or the ranking ladders yet. I'm in it for the 10 years it seems

I've managed to grind a little under 400 million, enough to get my Anaconda and some mid range equipment. Currently working towards an 8A Power Plant, which should hopefully take no more than a few more hours of gameplay. My Trade rank is Tycoon, and I'm about a third of the way to Elite.

Yeah, that's pretty cool... you're own personal White Star!

I had an interesting experience recently... a deadly-rated Fer-de-Lance interdicted me shortly after I got top-end A-rated equipment... Suffice to say the encounter was a little one-sided after I unleashed EIGHT multi-cannons (including a huge 4A argument settler), and shredded the hapless pirate's shields in about 15 seconds!

Love my Anaconda...
