By the time you're done, you'll have the entire movie done!

A few more details added and modifications to the general shape and proportions and re-modelling of the wheels.

Really like this, hope it will have an interior. Just thought are you going to do the Mars rover as well that they go to find. So the HAB is next then, very interested in seeing that.

I will do a limited interior showing the seat and the display panels. Basically what you will be able to see from the outside.

This is part of a series of stills that I found somewhere of a model that exists. I'll try and dig out the link! I tried to create a model using photogrammetry from them but that wasn't too successful.

Here you go. It's by Nick Wassill and you can rotate the view to see the model from all sides. Realtime renders in Marmoset Toolbag 2.

Yes, I've got a nasty habit of starting something else before I've finished the previous thing. At least with these home jobs , anyway! At least I finished the MAV before starting the Rover. I still need to complete the Covenant Lander which is sitting idle at the moment waiting for the right moment.

No the Rover isn't done by a long shot. I've got to complete the suspension and then all the eqipment on the back plus the trailer and all the wiring! Although I've got a seat in there now, I haven't decided yet to what extent I'm going to do the rest of the interior!

I'm also not very happy with the front end shape of the window surrounds. I may have to re-do that area to scratch that itch!

Here's few close-ups of the Rover. The suspension is now connected to the wheels and is pretty much finished. Although I still have to do the hydraulic lines to the brakes, and the drive motors for each wheel with cabling need doing.

Still, you have got a lot of the main detail done. So what's wrong with the front windows, look ok to me, mind you you probably have good refs so would know better.

Like me i also tend to get on a roll and to alleviate boredom have two or more models on the go. If it gets repetitive it can get boring so i do something else and then come back.

That's a really cool rover Ted. I've got a hot date tonight, can I borrow it to take her to a drive in movie?

Nice Ted, the wheel textures are they just a procedural map.

The yellow/orange texture is procedural The only other texture on this at the moment is the mesh clip map on the cargo bed and, of course, the solar cell map!

Here are a few more additions such as lamps and the crane at the rear. The crane hydraulics will be rigged (sometime).

Here is a short video to show the rigging of the wheels and the crane.
The suspension springs are not yet rigged, hence the flat terrain at this time!
