A little bit more work.

Here’s a look at what is the impulse engine and maybe a shuttlebay.

Good work Rob!
I know it´s based upon the original model, but the two necks appears too much "thin" when compared to the general shape of the ship, and those greebles over them made me to remember of a chameleon.

A variant with just one neck (different from the old K´tinga, of course) would be welcome.

I doubt I'll do a version with just one neck. Just feels unneeded.

UPDATE...
I added a little bit more to the neck and I think it works. I also started a bit on the bulby part.

And here is some stuff added to the bottom of the secondary hull.

UPDATE...
Started to add stuff to the lower lip of the cobra head and a few things to the tulip bulb part. I also thought up an idea for strengthening the two pylons.

I notice there's some pinching around the torpedo tube and the hull plates surrounding it. I find this is caused by having those parts welded together.

I knocked together a quick mock up of what you're building. In this image you can see that the hull around the plates and tube is smooth.

That's because the plates and tube are separated from the hull mesh, as you can see in this render.

A suggestion for this model of yours; just select the plates and tube, cut them then paste them back in. Render it out and see if that eliminates the pinching (or not).

Yeah, I'm aware of the pinching. It showed up after I added that ring around the tube. I'll try to fix it if I can.

UPDATE...
More detail added to the back of the bulb.

UPDATE...
Not getting to much done lately but I did decide to do a little work on this part.

I promised myself I wouldn’t start another ship till I finished more of the ones I already started. Well that went out the window.

UPDATE...
As far as I’m concerned, this part is done. So I added some shuttlebays.

I also decided to add some windows to the front.

Just a long shot to see how it looks.

Love how the shapes are blending together.
Very nice "feel" to this bird.

I like the shot from the stern. It's nice how the double booms allow you to see the bow from that angle.

I agree, it kind of feels like what works for alternative 2001 designs I was looking at. Chunky ships can VERY easily get boring compared to ones with gaps.
