Default SciFi - Alien Covenant Lander

The basic shape is nearly there. Still got some tweaking to do then on to the detailing.

Always interesting to see what you will do next. Did your MAV get finished then.

It's about time someone makes this ship, I like it. Keep up the good work.

Thanks LW.

I've now added more detail and some decals to pretty it up a bit!
The landing struts proved to be a major challenge to get near the reference material. Why do the bods who do the building of spacecraft film assets, whether they be hard models or 3D, make the landing struts which are never seen in close-up (apart from Prometheus!) so unnecessarily complicated? Just my pet hate!

Digressed a little on to the docking complex for the lander on the underside of the Covenant. I'd love to do the whole of Covenant but that is a big job.

Thanks!

I know it's silly doing a composite well before the model is actually finished, but I find it encourages me to carry on and finish those pesky greebles! Background is of the actual film location at Milford Sound New Zealand. The fact that it has landed on water may not have escaped you but I'll be adding the land later.

The model looks nice and that it a really good composite! It actually looks like it's standing on the water.
