Try a different color, dim grey may be the cause.

Superb work G, on the Re-worked Bellflower's textures nice renders too

As for the cowl i think the problem is two stage one a little to shiney, and second the wrong colour, maybe more a gun metal grey and just fresnel reflection...

Cheers, I've changed the surface in the latest version. I've now done the Shuttle too. I will post a couple of shots when I get hope. In the meantime, I've got it rendering a 900 frame, 1080p Turntable. Which, at the quality settings I've got, and my new Titan, is rendering at 10 seconds per frame.

Also, testing my sig again.

OK, I'm fairly sure it's done at this. I had the roughness settings backwards, which is why the whole ship was too reflecty I'll spend some time converting New Melbourne next, but not straight away.

900 frame turntable is at frame 540, blasting through it.

OK, turntable finished. I will get round to doing a right engine texture.

900 frames, repeated. Best viewed in 1080p. Rendered incredibly fast at 10 seconds per frame.

The cowl looks much better, and the colour blends better will the rest of the ship…first class stuff!

WHOOORRRR! You have a GTX Titan…man that thing is a beast, c'mon then spill the beans what’s it like? Would love to have that card in SLI configuration

Edit: Super smooth turntable too...

Cheers. Yes the card is great. Problem is I only have Octane to show it off. Its pretty near twice as fast as my GTX680 was.

Can you recommend a screamingly good, and graphically intensive game to test out my Titan?

Battlefield 3 or Dark Souls and of course Crysis 3 very demanding because it is unoptimized so they say.....

Edit: also Far cry 3 and Witcher 2 any of these will push the card....i know the 690 has trouble with Far cry 3 at max settings!

Best recommendation is the HD video in the previous post. 10 Seconds per frame is amazing.

Maybe in a few months . Btw, in octane it would just be exactly twice as fast.

Sorry mate, not been doing any deformations. I have been following your conversation on Newtek. I would bet its the 3rd party plugin that's doing something octane can understand (somehow). Have you tried messing with the properties that tell you when to deform. Can't remember what it's called, it's got things like ."before bones or after bones" etc.

Outstanding results that you're getting here Gordon, and the render speed is shocking. Nice.

Hey, I remember you How the devil are you sir? Working hard.

Thanks for the comments. It seems blisteringly fast at this kind of thing, and slower to render some things. I have a 3 bottle product shot rendering now, that looks like it'll take a while to get noise free.

Thanks. I just like being able to render her out at that size in such a short time.

And that render I was talking about. Lots of reflection and refraction etc. Complicated little scene. Let it cook for 2 hours as I couldn't see when it was done. Could do with the ability to pause and see how it's doing full res - have asked.

Anyway, quite happy with the result.

Cheers. It doesn't look dramatically better than the LW version did, but at 2 hours, it rendered a lot quicker

Looks like Octane is working well for you. I like how the lighting looks in that last render. It looks like a real photo.
