Default Star Trek - Deep Space 9

After 3 years I finally got my DS9 done.
If all symmetries and instances are converted to polygon objects, we do have:
2500 objects
2.470.000 polygons
172 lights
5 sets of 4096x4096 texture maps (diffuse, specular, bump) and 4 additional light maps

.c4d file will be available within a few days.

That looks great, I'm glad your releasing this but I use Lightwave. There are no good DS9 meshes for Lightwave. Maybe someone can convert it.

Now that right there, is the best fan made DS9 I've ever seen.

A very impressive piece of work.

Really remarkable. I agree, definitely the best fan-made DS9 I've seen. I think you'll get a lot of requests for conversions on this!

Thank you guys, I'm glad you like it.
By the way, I didn't work only on that model the last three years. There were other big projects, too

I made a little rig for my planned animation. It will include a landing Runabout. In doing so I asked myself, if DS9 has no doors that will close the Runabouts bays. What you only ever see are the raised landing platforms.
So here is my approach: Runabout away = platform raised, Runabout docked = platform lowered and doors closed

It's because you used the entire link in the youtube tags. You only need the video code that comes after v=, in your case KKclzyNwLvA.

I'll check it out. Is he planning on releasing it? I've been looking for a Lightwave version forever but I haven't had any luck, the closest I've come is a the one here in the resource section but it's not textured. I've been trying to texture it but I'm not very good at it.

Hey guys, check out the downloads under http://www.alex3d.info/downloads/
Unfortunately I'm not able to test the exported formats (obj, 3ds,fbx7.2) within other 3D applications. So you need to try and hope.
Good luck and have fun.

They worked for me. I'm having trouble loading the mesh. Thanks for the mesh, this is great.

Edited:
I got the .3ds version to load but I have no idea what to put in the texture under Mat 1.2.3.4

Yep, they're fixed Lightwave crashes every time I try to open the .fbx. I got the .obj imported though and am trying to figure out the texture placement. This mesh is amazing, but it has convinced me I simply must upgrade (my PC), and sooner rather than later.
