Default Star Trek - Galaxy Class beauty render

A rather simple one today.
The twist is that the self illumination is done using Monte Carlo radiosity.
The overexposed windows are intentional.

Enjoy!

Looks like it could be one of the early promo shots of the E.

Looks great. Definitely first class render!

Pardon my asking, but where did you get that mesh. I have one Enterprise mesh but it is nowhere near the quality of Dave Clark's.

Definitely one of the best Galaxy class meshes I've seen on the web, and gives me some ideas for the Dragon in some parts

With the effect you used, the bussard collectors and the deflector are particularly stunning!

Intentional or not the overblown windows spoil it a bit, but otherwise that's simple but really very nicely lit Cool stuff.

As far as I know, that modeller only released the mesh to a few people who were sworn never to share it. But I may be thinking of another Enterprise-D mesh, not this one.

That is one sweet mesh, I wish it was released but I understand why you haven't released it but if you ever do, sign me up for one. I have been looking all over for a good Ent D mesh but can't find one that is anywhere near this good. (yes, I'm sucking up )

Nice lighting, windows are just a tad tooooo hot (I know, I know, but intentional or not they still bug me). Looks like there's a magnesium fire inside the ship!

Care to share any of the specifics for the render? i.e. scene/lighting setup, software used to render, you mentioned Monte Carlo radiosity, were you using HDRI lighting? How many lights in the rig? What kind? How long did the render take to complete? Is this straight out of the render engine or was it post processed? Things like that...

Love the model, love the lighting effect (yes even the windows). Reminds me that if youve been in the darkness of space for a while and your eyes get adjusted to the dark, then this ship happens by, this is likely how it would appear to you.
