Didn’t think it was fair to add my images one at a time in to the stills thread, so to get them out of the way I decided to create a members show case!!

Although these next images are not as visually stunning as the majority of imagery on F3D the main goal was the study of hardsurface and softbody SubD modeling, Camera matching, Organic forms, Environments, Lighting combinations, luminous polygons, HDR, Low key lighting, UV mapping, linear workflows D.O.F and hopefully the creation of some realistic scene.

It's all good stuff, but I really like the sneakers! very realistic rendering style there

The shading on the snail (or slug?) is also really eye catching!

Wow, this is all top notch stuff indeed Eden! And I really like the way you did the neon highlights on your version of the buggy...it's really unique.

I also started on the WMD tutorial but alas, I got all fouled up on the ammo belts and put the whole project on hold and forgot about it. Seeing yours makes me want to go back and give it another try....one day.

And btw, congrats on getting on the front page!

I'm with Gordon. Your work is absolutely stunning and you have fulfilled all of your hopes regarding achieving realistic scenes.

The black and gold beads(?) are amazing, the diamond ring looks like any good jewelery ad I've ever seen. The foamy coffee looks real enough to drink. Etc. etc. etc.

I'm glad you set this up because you're right, it would not be fair to have to wait to see these one by one in the Stills forum.

I can only echo what everyone else has said. Absolutely stunning work, really, as lynx has said, the cookies actually look edible and that coffee is very inviting.

These are visually stunning in their own way. They are not flashy, but the work is absolutely superb!!! Bravo!

Lovely work, and great to see it all gathered together.

My favourites are the big gun tank, the watch and the old book.

The stones texture is also excellent - can I ask how you did it? I've been toying with the idea of a Stonehenge, but I'm not sure I could get stones looking that good.

Sorry about that. When I did my stones/rocks I used pretty much the same techniques as I explained in your roughened rounding of edges thread. Started with cube, then subdivide it until I had it at the level before you reach the quadall, as originally there where going to be many more stones than there are in the scene you see here and need to keep the poly count down, from there I pulling and pushing vertices to get the very basic shape, added a simple material and U.V mapped the mesh, found some relatively high resolution photographic images and set up a bump, displacement, and possible a gradient and iridescent angel layers.

Ah, thanks for the detailed explanation - I think I need fully procedural for my Stonehenge. I'm also beginning to think though that the obvious thing is to move it into Vue for surfacing and skies...

Love the slug, my only crit is that I think it should be slightly more wet/slimy looking ?
