Question 3D model resell Question??

I built a in lightwave.
A person wants to buy it.
What do i need to do so they will not resell or redistribute the model?
Is there anything i can do?

Good question!
I don't think that there is a way. You can't insert a watermark in a 3D model or can you? Maybe a little signature via cut into some polys? But then he could easily repair that. Watermark in the texture maybe? But then he can't use it either.

Mmm no, can't think of a way right now.

Best I can think is a written contract. Get it in writing, one way or another, that'll be enforceable in court.

Yup, I’d go for something, in writing, that stops him reselling it. Or maybe give them two prices, one for no resell, one for ‘do what you like’ which is a lot more.

I'd still put a 3D watermark in it, or a few identifiable vertices/ polys.

biotech built my Nova class for me years ago but we never did a contract, he just asked me not to sell or give it to anyone but a contract is a good idea, it protects your work. You can download a contract online.
