OK, the next game has been announced. This is actaully the first one I worked on. I did two of the miniatures. They are tiny

I seem to recall the smaller of the two was being printed off at about 13mm

Here is the link to their page talking about it..

My copy of XCom the boardgames arrived today.

And here's a shot of the miniatures I made for the game. Quite good detail.

Rigels absolutely right, looks spot on.

One question - some of those details are very fine - particularly given the size of the physical models. Will all that come out?

It was built with very strict minimum feature sizes. Can't remember if they where .2mm or .4mm. But it took printing of the masters and moulding into consideration. I'll know soon, but here is an image of the actual product. From what I can see it looks like it worked well.

Next in my list of miniatures for Fantasy Flight. This was actually the first one I made for Imperial Assault, but has only just been released and so out of NDA.

This was a real challenge to try to get a lot of detail in, on a 23 mm model, with .4 mm minimum features . Looks terrible at this size, but make your image small and you can imagine how it will look as a miniature.

You have to be kidding. Doesn't look terrible at all. Especially for something that will be created at that scale.

Cheers. I more meant, when you look at it, it looks like big massive panels sticking out too far, but I'm sure at scale it'll look great. I think I managed to get a lot of detail in there for the size.

Oh now that is nice! I could spend a lot of time studying how you kept a great impression while avoiding very fine detail!

Thanks. Trust me, that is my biggest difficulty. When given a limit of 0.4mm for the smallest feature, it's amazing how big that is when the miniature is only 25mm

That's what I figured - I thought of it when I looked at the teeth. I suspect that takes a LOT more skill than is immediately obvious!
