Fantastic! It works and your work is excellent. You have to give us a run down on how you're liking XSI.

The only thing I am noticing is a nasty seam line in the middle of the head. If that were LW I'd say you need to line up the points before mirroring. Haveing a similar problem here?

Ahar yep, thats pretty much because XSI doesnt work with symmetry the same as LW. Basically the left side (right of the actual model) is just instanced geometry. This has its plus and con sides over the LW symmetry way of things. But once its 100% finished Ill mirror the actual geomtry over and merge that seam away

God damn Tim. I thought it was a ZB sculpt at first.
Fine work there!

BTW I just realised this is in completly the wrong section of the forum, great going me

Sweet piece of work Tim. I too thought it was another z-brush sculpt. Not familiar with XSI other than having heard it's name around.

So how is school going? We going to be seeing your name in film credits any time soon?

Tim....awesome work. Can't wait to see it finished.

Is this all 100% XSI ? Even the nice render with SSS on the ears?

Hah thanks for all the great comments guys, good to finally be able to see the thread
heres an update on where I left it last and some other progress pics.. I did start texturing it but never got far enough to render.
@Imagiro: thanks man. Schools pretty good, it really has its ups and downs.. been feeling pretty homesick lately but my course is top notch.. we have some really good tutors who all know their stuff, plus lots of cool perks. Hah hopefully Ill make it that far, itll be another 3 years till I finish.
@Sodonn: Cheers man, yep 100% XSI subdee modelling. I went a bit insane with the polycount lol, it took me quite a while to finally patch everything up but I got there in the end.

You are sick, sick individual Tim.
Beautiful wireframes - that must've been a real head-scratcher at times.

Was wondering when someone would do something from the Kong movie. One beautiful modeling job here, I think I'll come back and look at the rest of the pics later tonight. Very nicely done and scary as hell.
