Default Misc - 2017 3D infographics

Hello, folks! 2017 was a very, very busy year for me. I survived to three big projects: my IV japanese dino exhibition, one monographic magazine (no yet published) about my paleo3D work, with 53 splashpages (36 of them expressly made for this project) and the graphic work for the Paleontologycal museum of Cuenca (110 pen sketchs and maybe 16 full color scenes)

And also my day to day work,of course with a lot of 3D

I open this thread for show my 2017 3D infographics splash pages for the spanish magazine Muy Historia. I made the images and also text and page composition

First, my winchester 73 work. I enjoyed a lot studying this weapon mechanisms: simple, effective, solid. An excellent sample of better XIXth manufacturing

(At this moment I just started a subpatched version of this mesh, when I finished I want to upload to the resources area)

That's beautiful! It's the first time I've seen a cut-away like this for a Winchester.

Next sample, the Type VII. For save time (I only have three days for make this splashpage) I modify a model I buy some years ago, by Anders Lejczak, making a cut view and adding a full interior structure. I want to show the reader how narrow and suffocating was the space inside one of these ships.

Assault on a medieval castle. Here I showed different siege techniques of siege, using some models that I have been building over several years for different motion projects

A differente style work. I build the scenary and adjust a old UH1 model (from meshFactory, I think) for made a good Vietnam scene. Human models are simple commercial meshes

I don't think this infographic has anything special, nor the 3d model either. I just modified a commercial model, improve it with some details and textures and get a good render, but I think every modeler who loves wwii history wants try the Tiger, and it was a joy for me to be able to show it here

And of course I include a reference to Kelly's heros because is the best wwii movie of all times
