Hmm. Starting in properly on my Vulkan.

Copied over the boosters, and stretched them 7m. Needed to twist them a bit as theire's some subtle asymettry in there.
Stuck the base energia in the middle, top of the main cylinder lines up nicely with the top of the boosters, good.
Lined up most of the Energia M core above this, height looks pretty good overall.

But overall it looks too thin. Need to try and work out whats going on there.

Default Vulkan progress

More progress, the Vulkan is coming together.

The design did not have parachute packs for recovering the boosters, but I figured why not make a version of them? With 8 thy would be worth recovering.

Colours are still to be sorted out.

Chugging away here.
Added some geometry ridges around upper parts of Vulkan. Also a new variant with an external tank - almost zero information on this one beyond some simple low res line drawings.

Thank You! This one is nearly finished.

Maybe I should try flyback Energia next?

Things like big, (and I mean big) chunks of lunar base in one piece.

Interesting to note that even the Energia M, the baby one, would have had more listing power than a US shuttle. Energia was a big beast, and Vulkan even bigger.

When I'm done I need to line up some big rockets for a size comparison!

Started in on the 'bignose' Vulkan, with a large fairing intended for big unmanned payloads

And by big, I mean the size of a shuttle..

Working on a Vulkan in flight.

Lighting is not too bad, now I need to work out how to fake the exhaust...

And some faked exhaust. 4 truncated cones, 300% luminous, and the mother of all glows added.

Not very realistic, but I rather like it!
