Default Misc - Some pirate stuff.

I've lately had an itch to create some historical models for F3D. I'll release all of these once I finish my collection.

I'm releasing these in this thread rather than the 3D WIP because in my mind I'm finished with all models used in these scenes; however, if anyone has any suggestions I'm always willing to go back and rework them.

All models by myself. Textures and background images found using Google

As always I welcome advice and criticism.

here's a revised map scene. I added additional items and changed the light direction. If anyone has any suggestions as to how I could create a more realistic looking map, I'd be glad to here it.

These are nice.

What I notice about the map are these items:
a) the paper is way too thick
b) I think it needs to be faded, to make it look weather beaten
c) some creases in it, especially along the lines where it would be folded, would be nice. Maybe a rip or two along the edges somewhere.

I know, the maps been giving me headaches for around a day now. I have three different versions of it but I can't seem to get it right. I'm working on trying to make a more realistic version now, I'll upload it when its done. What's the best way to create realistic looking rips?

thanks

Again I thank you, that tutorial was exactly what I needed. Here's a render with the updated map.
