![]() This was inspired by Return of the Jedi. The scene just after the Rebel fleet comes out of lightspeed and is preparing to attack the Death Star.
I wanted something that would involve a lot of models to see if I could do it. I spent many hours on this. Hopefully everyone enjoys it as much as I do. ![]() Credits will be listed here, as there are too many people to list on the image itself. General credit to Scifi-3D is on the image. All models used came from there except the Death Star. A-Wing: André Müller (muepper) (Author retexturing) B-Wing: Dr. Harry Chang (Model) Matt Walton (Pilot) Jose Gonzalez Pareja (Textures) Matt Allen (Extra Detail) X-Wing: George Mezori (ZOO) (3DS Conversion) Don Showalter (Original LW Model) Y-Wing: Al Meerow (Original Model) Don Showalter (LW conversion) Tom Grays (TomG) (LW 5.6 conversions) Mon Calimari Cruiser: Bertrand Dejardin (BOBABERT) (Author) Mon Calimari Cruiser (HOME 1): Sean Kennedy (Treybor) (Model) Millenium Falcon v2: Iven Connery (Original Model) Sebastian Hirsch (Mojo) (Textures) Death Star: Thomas Banner (Author) Endor: Dan North (Author) |

![]() I wanted to add some Imperial ships but the screen is quite crowded already. I'll have to figure a better way of laying this out so I can visualize it better the next time I do an image like this. |

![]() Big fleet. I like it. Do you have plans to make one with Imperial ships only?

![]() I had originally wanted to do a shot with both. But the way I set this up I didn't leave much room for the other ships.
I have a bunch of Imperial Navy ships I can use for a shot. This kind of shot took me a good 12 hours of work or so to set up and complete. I shot it in several passes with differen't ships as I went along. I had to mess with ships sizing and light set up to accomidate since the ships were not scaled to each other. That was what took most of the time was trying to get them to look about right in scale. |

![]() Thanks guys. I'm thinking of doing an imperial counter-part to this image. The Imperial Navy waiting on the far side of Endor to jump out.
I'd like to do a battle scene after that. Start messing with some more F/X and do some depth of field stuff that I haven't really done yet. |
