This is something I have been playing with over the last week or so. I may run off some more renders once I have built an appropriate set for it to live in.

Everything built in 3ds Max 2010, rendered using Mental Ray and a single light. No post with the exception of the credits.

Nicely done Jason. The surfaces are all very convincing.

How did you end up fixing the bump map?

I just increased the UV tiles. Mental Ray appears to use it to determine scale of objects when using its' own shaders, rather than using the size of the object itself.
