Default Message in CS3 Image Editor

Attempting to load a layered image into the Lightwave Image Editor, I get this Message:
"This layered Photoshop file was not saved with a composite image."

How do I meet the needs of this message and successfully get the image I want loaded into the Lightwave Image Editor?

I appreciate any help you can provide.

Save the file under a new name.

Ctrl-E will merge all the layers into a single layers.

Try that.

Good luck,
