Another gorgeous image. I'd love to see you tackle some non-Trek stuff

Is the Earth 3d in that scene?

Mr. Wilde, you are too good. I'm afraid we may have to "adjust" you.

That seriously is a nice shot. Well done.

Another beauty, Admiral.

You know, I've been working on an Excelsior model of my own for a while--I've always liked the design a lot. It's going slow, and I keep working on it piece by piece, and you keep producing these damn fine renders, which you normally never see of her, and I just keep thinking "He tasks me! He tasks me! And I shall have him. I'll chase him round the moons of Nibia and round the Antares malestrom and round perdition's flames before I give him up!"

Rob,

Nice job, mate. One of these days I'll get round to retexturing the front of the secondary hull, never been happy with it.

Nice Job on the model, IMO the Excelsior Never had the style or grace the Enterprise had... Maybe if I sit down and modeled her I might see it... Worth a try.... (Maybe it was because the Excelsior was supposed to replace her) I always hoped that Sulu would have had the chance to have a spin off series with him as Captian... I would have watched it.

Beautiful image.
I'd like to hear ,if it's not top secret, your workflow from render until final post how you go about making such beautifully lit images.

I also really like the backdrop of the Mediterranean sea with lights in both Europe and North Africa. It lets us dream of a better world....

That is an awesome image - the glow is perfect, not too much and not too little.

I have to ask though - where did you get Drydock from? I have been searching for a detailed model that has the light pylons on.
