The torpedo is finished, because it's a simple torpedo and you can't add a lot of details.
I asked for tips to improve it.

Maybe instead of a snide comment, you could offer him some constructive criticism. He's clearly learning, and if it weren't for the support and critique from this forum, I wouldn't have the skill set I do today.

meugen06: I see what you're going for on your reactor. I'd recommend rounding the edges on the object so that the light doesn't fall as harsh on it. That and no object has a a perfect edge. They all tend to be at least slightly rounded and smooth.

As for the red and blue light spots, you could add some luminosity and shine some spot lights on each section to give the appearance that they're glowing. Now I'm not that familiar with Blender but if you can, add a glow effect on those particular surfaces. That would go a long way.

Lastly, Try adding a specularity map on the object. Even if it's slight, some reflectivity would help give the appearance of a metal core.

It's coming along though!

Argh, what were you thinking? A morning without coffee? LOL I had a colossal headache the other day. Downed a tall glass of Dr. Pepper and headache all gone. Amazing what a little caffine can do for you.

I can't recall a morning without a 'cuppa'. Just hadn't poured mine yet.

Nobody understands cricket and watching paint dry is more entertaining. (And faster.) The game uses the word googly and that's just wrong. But I do not what a scone is and they're quite delicious with clotted cream and jam.

But the big questions is, do you pronounce scone to rhyme with cone, or with gone?

I come to this thread simply for the laughs and you sir have made my day with that comment

Meugen, I have seen your work the last few years on here and on the late LS-A, I hate to say it but it hasn't improved a great deal, im not saying my work is any better or that I wasn't crap when I started 3D because I was diabolical! I agree with what other people say take criticism, it will improve your work surely the whole point on posting to forums is to get feedback and criticism on how to improve your work? but you disregard everything that is said, sometimes without even a comment back to the previous poster, it gets frustrating.

all im trying to say is take peoples criticism into account, they will make your work look better simply because having many pairs of eyes are better than having just one

As with all things in life, practice makes perfect and you are definitely improving!

Your shapes and designs are becoming more complex; your textures are getting better as well.

Now, you just need to learn to bevel your edges. Those pistols would look much nicer with edge bevels.
