Default Aircraft - A couple more paintings

A couple more to share.

A S-3B Viking, this is a gift for a friend, whose Son in Law was killed along with the other 3 crew members when this aircraft crashed in the Med',

A not quite completed painting of a KA-6D refuelling Sundowner F-4Bs

the concept renders for the next one - a VFA-143 F-18E

and no real CGI connection here, but a piece based on a US Navy photo

C&C always welcome

Pete

I have to go for the tomcats. I'm glad someone posted on your old thread today or you might not have posted those here.

Nice work. Seeing the render of the F-18's become a painting will be cool.

I like the F-4's; nice work there.

I thought this month would be a little easier since there hadn't been quite so many images to the finished art sections. Was I ever wrong, I had to boil it down to six and this was one of them. Congrats on the front-page slot!

Cheers all for the kind words and Bob for the front page. It is indeed a good thing you resurrected that old post.

(There is no Tomcat though ;-))

As for the F-18E given the interest I'll do a SBS in a separate thread showing how I move from render to finished oil on canvas.

First, I am sorry to hear about your son in law, nice paintings. I wish I had your talent.
