no, all images are done in lightwave with no composition apart from the overlay logo, which I could have done in lightwave too thinking about it! they are hypervoxels, and they are animated, just rendering out a quick and dirty landing animation, found out some interesting stuff by chance, I had originally been using indexed greyscale PNG textures and found ram usage to be quite high, so I gave JPG a try, whoa! ram usage came down by quite a few gigs! so it would seem they have done a little work on image handling, with the scene rendering and windows hogging about 3.5 gig I still am under 50% of my ram, some frames are coming in under 1 min, so finally a detailed model that renders fast (even with the voxels), should really start rendering again as I made a booboo on the volumetric lights for the engines, but as I said it is quick and dirty and maybe something I will refine, but it literally took 5 mins to set up with the rig already in place so it is really to show how easy it was to work with. on frame 1300 at the mo so will post once it is up on the tube! |

Some flickering from the radiosity and the image compression, but that is still just beautiful. I love how you got the pulsing effect on the suns. While it was lowering to the ground I kept thinking "gear, man, put the gear down!". A simple animation and yet, you got me caught up in the story. Top marks all the way around rusty. |

![]() lol, yes, they leave it until the last second in the film too, I guess it is because the feet also act as exhaust flaps, and the main side flaps have to come up at the last moment too, it was actually quite hard to get the part where the gear settles as in not a complete stop, there is a bit of bounce but due to some parts using cyclist the motion curves did not match, although I should be able to add another parent null to fix that into an automatic reaction/ animation linked to the gear control null
