UPDATE...
Well I decided to have every other dish facing the other way. Just think it looks better. I also added guide wires now all I need to do is texture the support structure.
Started to get work done on the large dish.

That looks good. Having them point in different directions suggests a better coverage as well.

I had them all point the same before to imply a design flaw that would be fixed in the next generation of technology. But this way just looks king of neat.

The Primary is saucer is just about done. I can start thinking about textures.

Just an image for scale. The size of this thing is much bigger than I had originaly thought.
The M’Aangan Royal Cruiser is 600m tall. Earth 1 is 228.45m long and the Main Structure without the dish is 2074.69m tall.

Something I’m thinking of attching the the central hub of the main dish.

Decided to take a break from the Romulan Cabbage since it’s gotten to the parts that will be hard for me to texture. So I’ve gone back to the GFD. I’ve started to add a bunch details to the bottom of the station.

Well I wasn’t able to add any updates for awhile because I lost power to about a quarter of my house. But now that’s taken care of I’m rested, tanned and ready to give this town a wedgy again.

I think I’ve done all I can to the bottom of this thing. I might add somemore random antennas.

I’ve added more detail to what will be an insectiod ship. Somewhere in there is the bridge.

Let’s see. How many things can go wrong this year.
My brother died. Well ok that wasn’t such a bad thing really but the 6 grand I paid to put him in the ground sucked. Exactly one week later the circut breaker for my house goes tit’s up and I have to have the damn thing replaced, another 3 grand. A few days later my dryer dies. Now some douch nozzle has been useing my dads social security number to dick aound so I’ve now been dealing with that.

Now on to happy thoughts. I’ve gone back to work on the Ma’Angan cruiser. I’m focused on the engine right now. The original engine was made from 80 parts so far I’ve got it down to just one.

Added more detail to this part. I think I’m just about done. I might just add a few little things here and there.

I’ve decided to rethink the look of the main hull to give it it a better look in profile. I also had what I think is a good idea for guns.

Sorry to hear about the recent run of bad luck. Three grand for a house circuit breaker? I'm glad I don't own this house!

Thanks. I suspect it's because of the age of the haouse and that kind of circuit breaker isn't made anymore. And today I accidentally cancelled a payment to them because I forgot all about it and thought it was the other guy useing my dad's SSN. Can't fix that till monday.

As far as I’m concerned the engine assembly is done.

Now with the engine done I can start to think about the hull of the ship.

Started to add details to the back of the ship. And I’m thinking about ideas for an RCS system.

I think I’m done with the details for the back of the ship. So I added a few new ideas to the hull. And I have to do something to thicken the wall of the landing bay.

Well just finshed playing Killzone 3 and reminded me how much I love first person shooters. Unfortunately my computer is acting up now because of the unusually warm weather and it keeps shutting down if I try to render a picture of the ship. Probably just needs a good cleaning again. But I was able to get a few renders of progress on the main guns.

Looks like I may have actually fixed the problem I was haveing with my computer. It’s not the best render but atleast it rendered.

Here’s what the entire ship looks like so far. I turned off all the lights except for the skylight just to see if it would render.

I’ve been haveing alot of trouble getting online this month. Either the pages don’t load or my broadband drags slower than dial up. I decided to just jump ship from T Mobile and go with Comcast. Decided to do more work on my M’Aangan Cruiser so I added a few more details and thought I might see how it looks if I attach a few fighters to the outside of the ship.

Well after several days of banging my head against the internet I decided to switch over to Comcast. And now I’m back /insert evil laugh here/

I added more detail to the top of the ship and some glowy bits along the side trench.

This shot gives a small view of the upper shuttle bay.

Some observation windows on the side of the ship. I might make this one room instead of two.

A good look at the new details I added to the back.

Finally cracked the idea of what I want to do with the cannons. I think it’s a good start.

I particularly like that indirect light setup. Even though the modeling looks great that light really adds, imo.

I agree with Bob on the light tubes. The fighters on the side look nice. Now, it needs about 2 dozen on each side which would look very cool in an animation with all of them popping off and zooming away.

Thanks. It started out as just a test to see how it might look. So it will go around the entire ship.

That would be cool but I have another idea for something like that. There will be a total of eight fighters attached to this ship.
