I've been trying to get the size and shape ratios of the different objects found in the game of Myst and realMYST. I also have been finding it very difficult. Myst ME only has so many still pictures. realMYST is quite low in quality. I also took screenshots using flyby mode to get a close proximitly view of a technical shot, (floating out of the tower). I've recently been considering a third option, extracting the models dirrectly out of the game and importing it to LW to use it directly as a refeerence object and creating my own HQ versions side by side. (Using the exported model in the background) I've seen that othere people have been exporting it to Blender, which I think can then export it to Modeler format.
Can Anyone help me with this? Or finding an alternative way? |

I'm interested in this, too. I tried something similar years ago, but the import/export tools at the time were extremely crude, and were designed specifically to work with Uru. It was suggested that they might work with Myst V, but realMyst was out of the question. I tried to get the dilapidated Myst from Myst V into Blender, but could never get more than an empty box. The last time I looked (still years ago, but not as many), I couldn't even find the Myst/Uru import/export plug-ins for Blender on-line.
If you could link to some of the places you've seen where people talk about getting the game models into Blender, that'd probably help us figure things out. |

Can the conversing still be done? Are there any better software available?
