I did. I can't use any of the ones in here because they are either lightwave or a newer version of Max.

UPDATE...
Started on textures for torpedoe doors and side cannons.
A shot with torpedoe doors down.
Added airlock textures and more work done on the side cannons.

That's too bad.

Okay, how about an airplane or something, for scale?

The textures look lovely by the way. This one is more serious looking than the earlier ones.

Ok. I'm done. It's far from perfect but I'm happy with it as it is.

This is the new project I plan on focusing on while dealing with my brother’s health problems and making sure my father and I are not legally responsible for his hospital bills. Since I’m useing my Amarillo mesh as a base to work from I’ve had to make a few changes. I’ve rebuilt the entire secondary hull and added RDS thrusters to it. I’ve also filled in the holes on the side tof the primary hull. I’m also testing a new unpainted metal on the secondary hull that I plan on useing on another ship.

UPDATE...
Finally rebuilt the sides of the primary hull and attached the warp engines. I just need to adjust the textures to get rid of that circle. I also tested a frosted glass texture on the back of the warp engines.

And I've started to block in the UES Torsk.

Update...
The ship now has it's name. Worked on the cutout for the lower cannon. I also made copies of the upper missile launchers and placed the new ones on the bottom. The still have the old textures and haven't been welded to the hull yet. A few changes need to be made and I'll be close to finished.

Now that the heat has let up a bit I’ve finally been able to do some renders to make an ortho for the UES Krechet.
And something I did just for fun.

UPDATE...
On Halloween I got hit by a big migraine and had to rest for a few days. Those things can take the piss out me. I'm tryign to get back to work so I went back to something small. The modelling of the primary hull is almost done. Just need to do the missile launchers and some grid lines. I also resized the impulse engines because I thought my first ones were too small.

UPDATE...
Started to do a few of the textures on the primary hull.

I added another airlock to the top of the hull because I forgot to add it before. I also have added the missile launchers. One thing I did forget is another set of grid lines. I'll try to fix that if I can. Also more textures for the nose of the ship and blue glowy bits like I have on Little Nell & Little Nell 2.

Here I've opened the missile bay doors. I'm not currently very happy with them.

I've started to rough in the shapes for the next ship I'll work on after the Torsk. The Romulan Cabbage.

Here's what the front looks like.

UPDATE...
Started to work on the textures for the secondary hull of the Cabbage Class ship. This will be the first time I really unwrap to make textures. I will probably get rid of the pinstriping.

The green is really dark in the first two renders, so the pin-stripes actually help to define the shape.

For some reason the light setting was off in the first two pics and that's why they are darker. Right now I'm just not happy with the pinstripe. I might keep the farthest one.

UPDATE...
I finally started to get the textures done. I started out with the usuall panels I always use. But here they are a little too big. I also added a small detail to the three nipple things. Also ignore the numbers, they’re just there to help keep things in order.

Here I resized the panels and added a few more things to break it up and keep it from looking the same as my other ships.

Here I made it so all the new stuff doesn’t stand out so much and I’ve added some grime.

And this is the final look of the new texture.

Thanks.
Well not much of an update but I had this sitting around for a few days. I changed the impulse engine. Textured the back of the primary hull and did the best I could getting the shape of the bulby bits right.

UPDATE...
Well I couldn’t decide on what project to work on for this month so I discovered that I hadn’t finished this ship yet. Gives me another excuse to try out unwrapping so I did textures for the forward cannons.
It’s not much but progress is progress.

It's quite the "ah ha!" moment when that UV stuff starts to click, isn't it? The textures are looking good on this.
