Default Star Trek - Star Trek Phase II - Origins Teaser

Thought you might enjoy this - among a lot of other stuff, I created the effects for the teaser last month...

(including altering Daren Dochtermans D7 cruiser to an "older" version and revamping the Enterprise to "Pilot" status)

Thanks, Deg

Yep, I´m pretty much responsible for most of the VFX stuff for the episodes "the child", "kitumba" and as it looks now "origins". I also did some stuff for the intro of "enemy starfleet".

It's a good job the FX were pretty good, as everything else was awful!

Deg - all those eps are not out yet. They are all in various states of completing, but I think none of them are final. Hopefully they get released sometime in fall...

Meurig - thanks, but why do you think everything else was awful? Keep in mind - this is a fan production with ZERO money involved. So everyone spends her/his free time to do it - sets, costume and of course, acting. I think for a fan production, it is extremely well done.

Hey Tobias, very cool work and always nice to see a fan made project that has so much work and enthusiasm gone into it. Totally understandable about the acting not being incredible but you have to cut the crew some slack as alot of these projects are volunteer based. I've worked on a few fan projects and believe me the one's here are oscar winning compared to some.

The effects are well done too. I knew I recognised your name by the way, I saw the Light Works "Fedcon" sequence recently, incredible work on that. Keep us posted on your shots in this as always great to see.

Been enjoying the Phase 2 stuff since the beginning, and the special effects are really top-notch. Keep up the good work.

The original models were done in Lightwave, and the effects prior and including "Enemy Starfleet" (with the exception of the planetary opening) were most likely also done in Lightwave, at least that is my assumption. We converted the models to Maya and I use that for all the effects that I do.

I cannot get that excited over the details in the acting. It has improved since the series started.
